Southwestern

With few inland lakes, the FOCA member associations in Southwestern Ontario are generally located very close to or on the shores of the three Great Lakes that surround this area. Southwestern Ontario is on the migratory route of waterfowl, birds of prey, shorebirds, songbirds and monarch butterflies. Many of Ontario’s rare and endangered species are located in South Western Ontario and much of the landscape is farmland with scattered remnants of deciduous forest and prairie. Local, municipal government is an important point of contact for many rural, waterfront issues.
